Work study will support teen audiences, create research methods for understanding how teens learn in museums and explore how gallery settings can affect emotional growth. The intern will work closely with staff on projects and off-site excursions for the 2019 RISD Museum Teen Intensive, analyze surveys and interviews, and research other museum program methods and approaches. The intern will gain an understanding of youth-focused programs in museum, tools, and methods for researching program impact, and gallery based learning. Previous experience working with teens or kids is necessary. A strong candidate would have an interest in community learning, possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and some familiarity with art.
20 hrs. week, $13/hr, approximate start date 07/01/2019 through 08/09/2019.
