Slavery & Justice Report: a Critical Reflection & Conversation

Tuesday, March 16th, 2021 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm (ET)

About

Continuing our theme of understanding the historical context of racism we will engage in a discussion through a critical review on Brown's Slavery and Justice Report. Together we will come to understand what this context means for us as we engage in service in Providence and what this means for us as we progress in our service-learning experience.

For the purposes of the conversation I would like for us to focus on sections "Confronting Historical Injustice: Comparative Perspectives" starting on page 32, and "Confronting Slavery’s Legacy: The Reparations Question" starting on page 58. We will also discuss the "Recommendations" section.
