Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence and the Providence After School Alliance seeks an instructor for a course on Android App design offered to high school students. Instructor must be knowledgeable of Android App design and ideally have experience supporting new learners in the field. Details on the course are as follows: Course Name: MIT App Inventor Agency: Boys & Girls Club Course Description: In MIT App Inventor, students learn basic computer science concepts, coding, and computer programming. App Inventor empowers beginners and non-programmers to create mobile applications. In this course, students use the mobile programming language, App Inventor, to program Android tablets and smartphones. The only limit on the types of apps Students will learn to build is their own imagination! Schedule Begins: 10/1/18 Ends: 1/16/19 Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays from 3:00 - 5:00 pm Location: JSEC High School, 182 Thurbers Ave., Providence Compensation for instruction/class time & 1 hour of additional planning time per class.
