About

Health On Wheels, a health care delivery program of HAEFA (Health and Education for All), was founded in 2012 by US-based physicians, researchers and community leaders, dedicated to the health and prosperity of humanity beyond any national boundaries.

Health on Wheels is an on-site mobile health care delivery system devised by Health and Education for All (HAEFA), a not-for-profit organization. Health on Wheels uses on-site healthcare workers, sophisticated cell phone-based m-Health and electronic medical record (EMR) software to coordinate screening test results, diagnosis, and treatment regime with our physicians. All patient and employer records are kept strictly confidential and secure. Hundreds of workers are seen each month, with regular follow up appointments scheduled as necessary to improve their physical and mental health, and sustain their well-being.

Current health situation of garment factory employees:

85% of the workers are female and under the age of 35 years 30% of the female workers suffer from mild to moderate levels of anemia 12% of the workers are diabetic and most of them are undiagnosed! 11% of the workers are hypertensive (high blood pressure), and are undiagnosed! 17% of the workers have respiratory diseases including asthma and TB

Health on Wheels is a pioneering nonprofit health care delivery organization that serves the unmet health needs of the garment industry employees in Bangladesh.
