Mandatory PD session - half-day
This was a good week to reorientate my work moving forward. There was time to meet with Daniela to create a comprehensive monthly plan for January. The summit work is over and I was not feeling enough was done to bring in urban schools to the CS4RI movement. More SCRIPT workshops are an opportunity but I am also going to do some work in observing and understanding the state of coding at a variety of elementary with the goal of being able to develop recommended models of integration for districts to try.
I'm also working on expanding the ConnectRI work to include other community organizations and broader reach.

Last shift of the year -- it was definitely a reflective shift knowing the children are only there temporarily. I said my goodbyes in case I do not see them again when I return from break. The last session was spent watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas with popcorn! Then creating a huge Christmas Tree with mod podge, glitter, paint, cotton balls, and beads. The children are definitely extremely creative!
The children at the shelter love using glitter so most of the day was spent making wonderful glitter projects.
