Assignments:
- Ah How v. U.S. – Over the weekend, I retrieved the amicus brief by the Chinese Benevolent Society in Ah How v. U.S. case (1904) at Library of Congress and sent it to Cecelia. I also it sent to Marita, Megan, Ameesha, and Jiny and uploaded it to SharePoint.
- Legal Services Mapping – I compiled statistics and drafted Part II of the legal services mapping report for DC and Detroit, which Marita assigned.
- Immigration Convening – I sent emails to legislative staffers to schedule appointments, updated Nahlee’s spreadsheet with CPs’ information, and created a new spreadsheet strictly for scheduling legislative visits. I also drafted a one-pager about StoryCorps to give to CPs who come to the Immigration Convening, which I sent to Bessie.
- State AAPI Fact Sheets – I completed the fact sheets for the states of Oregon, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and sent them to Megan. I also gave Aimee information on how to write the fact sheets.
- Citizenship Workshop – Aimee and I watched the Citizenship Workshop Training webinar in preparation of APALRC’s workshop this weekend.

- Citizenship Presentation – finalized edits to the slideshow, drafted script, sent to Nahlee for edits.
- Representative Immigration Research – compiled information about Stephanie Murphy and C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger, their immigration policy stances, and their respective congressional districts.
- State AAPI Data – found more data points for Colorado fact sheet, added citations, sent completed draft to Nahlee (to send to Megan), compiled more data for Oregon fact sheet.
- Husted v. APRI – helped find data points about Asian voters in Ohio who are naturalized and LEP, took notes during phone call with Terry et al. about amicus brief on 7/7.
- Immigration Convening Leg Visit – drafted an email for Megan that will be sent to legislative offices to coordinate meetings between community partners and their congressional representatives; sent emails to immigration staffers at the offices of Senator McCain, Congresswoman Fudge, Congressman Olson, Congressman Tim Ryan, and Senator Gillibrand.
