Lesson Planning + Lesson
We started the class off by playing hangman and a little bit of pictionary with verbs
Then we reviewed symptoms of pain by going over a worksheet about them as a class
We also did a worksheet on the difference between "a" and "an"which helped us learn vocabulary, pronunciation, etc.
Finally, we worked on two spelling bees. The first one was about the body parts, in which they wrote down the words I said to them. Then they peer corrected each other and we went over spelling, pronunciation, meaning, etc. Finally, we did another spelling bee, this time with common verbs.

Lesson planning + lesson
We started off by playing the chain game, which they really enjoy
We also played hot potato with food, which they LOVED
Then we played with body parts and spent a long time learning animal names so we could play hot potato with those
Next we read a story and deconstructed it, filling in worksheets about it
Lesson planning - preparing materials and putting together Kahoot
We went over the demographic forms, the question box, names, and played a game of Kahoot to review SHAPE 1, which they really seemed to enjoy
Lesson planned for today's class
We started out with hangman, which led to a discussion/review of prepositions. We practiced pronunciation and came up with visual manners of representing them by using lines above, under, around, etc. the words.
We also learnt the chain game, which they really enjoyed as they got to practice writing, spelling, vocabulary, and pronunciation. They get very excited to come up to the board.
Next, we learnt restaurant dialogue, which took a really long time. We wrote down a dialogue and taught them the words, pronunciation, answered their questions about translations and how to use certain phrases, etc. We had to use multiple techniques to go over some words and through repetition, sandwiching, etc. we think most of them got the basic structure down. We had them practice asking each other and answering to us.
Lesson planned activities for today's class
We started by playing hangman, followed by practicing the body parts before giving them a quiz to see how many of them they could write down correctly in a labeled chart. This was good review and allowed us to clear up pronunciation and spelling.
We learnt prepositions and did a variety of activities with them.
Next, we played alphabet bingo with them to practice the letters and give them a fun activity
We lesson planned for our first lesson for about an hour
During the lesson we introduced ourselves, said what SHAPE is and why we think it is important. They introduced themselves to us and we played an icebreaker game of where the wind blows.
Next, we laid out a lot of ground rules, giving them candy if they provided a new rule.
Finally, we had them join a google classroom where they could access the link to take the Pre Test.
Overall, they were receptive and our advisor said it is the quietest she's ever seen them. They engaged well with the activities, although a lot of them expressed frustration at having to do SHAPE 2 for the second or third time. We explained that there's always more to learn, and that we hope to make it as engaging as possible. In all, I am excited for what this semester holds.
Lesson planned and facilitated class
Yesterday we started the class by playing Hangman to review some words and their spelling
Then, we did various activities and worksheets explaining the difference between can/can't
We reviewed the body parts and actions we had for them
They did a worksheet in which they labeled the body and then we reviewed it as a class to practice pronunciation
They were very eager and wanted to know more words so they know a lot of them
Then we taught them directions like go left, go right, go straight, turn around, cross
We practiced by having them walk around the room and we would tell them what to do
In order for them to grasp the words better, we added some actions to the words
Lesson Planned and Facilitated Class
This class we focused for a long time on This/That, These/Those
