I have now finished up my first year at the Rhode Island Free Clinic. The experiences I've had and the knowledge I've gained has been invaluable. Through interpreting, scribing, screening, and a plethora of administrative tasks I've been able to learn and grow. I am excited to come back and put in place a slew of new ideas and projects that the Vista team and I have been talking about for some time.
I continued to perform routine eligibility screenings while also becoming better acquainted with other roles in the clinic such as scribing and check in/out.
I've steadily continued to conduct eligibility screenings as well as to translate for primary care appointments. Began making phone calls to patients to both remind them of their appointments as well as to make them.
