I tutored in math, and it was a good experience.
This week was much better than the previous one - we sorted out the miscommunication, and my co-tutor and I were able to tutor a small group of students.
Unfortunately, there was miscommunication between me and the advisor, so there wasn't a session held on this day. I ended up waiting outside the room for a while - however, the issues were resolved and I didn't have issues the following week.
It was a positive first tutoring session. The students were pretty eager to start, and were interested in learning. They responded well to the get-to-know-you questions we had, and they also had many questions of their own.
It was really informative to understand the importance of boundaries, which is something I never really considered before. I will take the lessons with me as I begin to volunteer for the Community Corps.
